Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Legal Recruitment Consultant to join our dynamic team in Tunbridge Wells. This role focuses on helping legal professionals across all levels, from Partner to Paralegal, with their career moves in Sussex and Hampshire, as well as Compliance and Company Secretarial roles further afield. The successful candidate will also recruit Compliance, Risk, and Legal professionals in London and the South East, with a particular focus on the FCA-regulated Financial Services sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Candidate Recruitment:
- Source and place legal professionals at all levels, from Partner to Paralegal, as well as Compliance and Company Secretarial professionals.
- Develop and maintain a network of high-quality candidates through proactive sourcing strategies, including creative marketing, personal recommendations, and repeat business.
- Provide career advice and guidance to candidates, ensuring the best possible match for their skills and career aspirations.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and manage a diverse client portfolio, including law firms, in-house legal teams, and FCA-regulated businesses across the South East.
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with clients to understand their recruitment needs and deliver tailored solutions.
- Provide market insights and act as a trusted advisor to clients on recruitment trends in the legal, compliance, and financial services sectors.
Market Expertise:
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of the Sussex, Hampshire, and London legal markets, as well as trends in the Compliance, Risk, and Company Secretarial sectors.
- Stay informed about FCA regulations and their impact on the legal and financial services industries.
Business Development:
- Identify new business opportunities and generate leads through strategic networking and marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and high-quality service offering.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in legal or professional recruitment, with a strong understanding of the Sussex and Hampshire markets and/or the financial services sector.
- Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and candidates.
- A proactive and results-driven approach to recruitment.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of FCA-regulated financial services is advantageous.
